Shee Atiká Announces New “Keepers of the Torch” Brand Identity and Website

November 7, 2022

(Sitka) –Today, Shee Atiká is proud to announce the launch of its refreshed branding, including a new logo and redesigned website (www.sheeatika.com).

An urban Alaska Native Corporation based in Sitka, Alaska, Shee Atiká’s mission is to deliver meaningful value to its shareholders, people, partners, and customers. “We believe this rebranding honors our history, culture, and focus on future generations of shareholders,” said Shee Atiká Interim Senior Executive & CFO Ptarmica Garnick.

The new logo is part of a year-long effort by the Board to affirm and restate the corporation’s mission and ensure that all Shee Atiká communications represent shareholders and shared values. Created by Tlingit artist Jerrod Galanin in collaboration with Element, a Sitka-based creative agency, the new logo was inspired by Shee Atiká’s role as the “Keepers of the Torch”.

“We envision Shee Atiká as a torch, an eternal flame passed from one generation to the next,” said Shee Atiká Board Chair Rob Allen. “Shee Atiká was formed to uphold our culture, maintain our traditions, learn from our experiences, and build a future that honors our past. Together, we will keep the torch shining brightly to pass on to our children.”
